Step Up

I’m having the most difficult time manifesting my thoughts into words - the complexity of the goings-on in my life render words a most tedious tool.

Friends are those whom you depend on.
They are the ones who never know what is going on, and never seem to care.
And they are the ones who stay up late to console your broken heart.

Friends are those who love you.
They are the ones who know nothing about you, and judge your every move.
And they are the ones who fear after reading something you wrote out of anger.

Friends are those who are always there.
They are the ones who say they do not choose others over you, but always end up doing.
And they are the ones who call you out after not having talked to you in three years.

Friends are like your second family.
They’ve been with you forever, but have no idea what is going on.
And they are the ones who’ve known you for a month, but have shared their lives with you.

Friends are funny things, you never know what you’re going to get.

Having just watched Step Up 2, the actual show, not just Robert Hoffman’s sexy body moving around, I can’t help but wonder why it has to be nothing more than a movie.

Why have I not my own bunch of misfits? Why is it so difficult to commit? Why can’t it just be?

Perhaps it’s just me, perhaps it’s world. Perhaps I will never know.

E pluribus pauci. I cannot fathom.

What clumsy prose.
